Scribe

Scribes. Back in the ancient Egyptian days, scribes were those lucky few who know how to read and write. Some had great influence, considering they were privy to the pharoah's thoughts and actions. Even in the middle ages, rarely could a knight or a lord write on his own. It was considered beneath him. that's what scribes were for. I prefer to consider it laziness, or better yet, just plain snobbery. Some scribes also taught others how to read and write.
I find it facinating that someone would name this template 'Scribe'. were they trying to say anything with this name? Or did they just think it would look good, considering this is supposed to be like a journal. Who knows.
Speaking of writing. I'm not particularly talented in that field. I tend to ramble where I shouldn't, and not enough where I should. Wait. What is that? Antanaclasis? No, i don't think so. Antimetabole. Yeah, I think that's it. Rhetoricle terms from AP Lang and Comp. Perhaps the first L.A. related class where I don't feel particularly intelligent in. I'm the only senior in that class. What does that say. Not only that, but the girl next to me got the highest grade on the writing sample...in the district. Genius. I, however, am not.
By the way, the general purpose of this journal is writing. Pure unadultereated writing. I'm taking that AP class cuz I don't know how to write. So when I do hae assignments and/or ideas, I need some place to write it out, and think it through. Besides. It's not like anyone else will read this.
